I like start my morning with a nutritious breakfast bowl because it keeps me alert when I first walk out the door. I used to rely on coffee in the mornings but now I swear by spirulina because its filled with antioxidants and it is also high in protein. This superfood is high in calcium, potassium, B vitamins, and iron. It also has many essential amino acids and it can help clear a foggy mind in the mornings.
Superfood Antioxidant Breakfast Bowl Recipe:
1 packet of unsweetened Acai
1 cup of mixed berries
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup of coconut water/coconut milk
Blend till sorbet like - make sure you don't put too much liquid or you won't be able to top it with fun toppings.
Top the bowl with:
1/4 cup of granola
I also put almond slivers on top
& bee pollen for its immune properties and honey-like taste
